As I sit here writing this article, the year (and the decade) are fast drawing to a close. Right now there is 80 minutes left of my 2010. So even though I didn’t publish this article until 2011 (by my timezone) it is technically the last one that I’ll write for 2010. Many people touched my life during 2010, and this article is for them. I want to say
Thanks!

You wake up Sunday morning, stumble into the bathroom, and even though you’re still half asleep; in the back of your mind you are thinking:
oh god, I hope it flushes this time…

It has often been said that you get what you pay for, but I’ve learned that this isn’t always the case. In fact, after reading this, you may agree with me in that it is very rarely the case.

My American readers are probably scratching their heads at the title of this article. Well, the rest of us don’t know what you are talking about when you speak of the Black Friday shopping thing. To us, a Black Friday is any Friday that falls on the 13th of the month. But that’s neither here nor there, lets take a little look at what all the hub-bub is about.

This is all about my dad because it’s his birthday on Saturday. But he does not know that I’m doing this article about him so could you keep it a secret for me? This is also one of my presents to him so this is really important to me.

Quick note from Dad… Here is a quick little story from my 8 year old son, Blake, for his Mum on Mother’s day. Blake typed half of it and then got me to do the rest, but it is all his own words and ideas. Over to you, Blake…

Very quick intro from Dad… This article was written by my gorgeous almost-ten-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn. It was all her idea and the only thing I had to do was fix 2 typo’s. Well done, baby! Love you sooooooo much! Now, over to Kaitlyn…

Saying that is is my first post is not strictly true. I’ve had a livejournal blog for a while now. But this is my first WordPress blog post.
As yet, I’m not too sure about the sort of things you are going to find here. At the moment, all of my time is being taken up with trying to figure out this WordPress thingy dingy. It is all so foreign to me. But I’m sure that pretty soon I’ll get up to speed with it all, and then I’ll be able to let my mojo flow. (is a “mojo” something that is flowable?)
My aim is to give YOU something positive to take with you from your visit here. Sometimes it will be educational. Sometimes it might make you smile (or flat out ROFL). Sometimes it will be inspiring. Sometimes it will just plain leave you speechless. Actually, I hope it doesn’t leave you speechless because I’ll always want you to leave a comment or 6.
Hope you enjoy getting to know me. Hope you enjoy your visit and that you do get something positive to take with you.
Till next time…
